Relay

Privacy Policy

Effective September 19, 2026

Relay provides information about its planned commerce tools through askrelay.io. This policy describes information handled through this website and our contact channel, and explains the intended approach for future commerce integrations. This website does not run product searches, connect an assistant account, or process purchases.

Information from website visits

Our hosting providers may process technical information such as an IP address, browser type, requested page and time of access to deliver the website, keep it secure and troubleshoot problems. Infrastructure providers may use technical measures needed to deliver and protect their services.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic, including pages visited, referring websites, approximate location, and device and browser information. It does not use cookies to identify visitors or track them across websites. Vercel uses a temporary visitor identifier that is discarded after 24 hours. We remove query parameters and URL fragments from page URLs sent to analytics. We do not add advertising trackers or nonessential cookies. Learn more about Vercel Web Analytics and privacy.

Information you send us

If you email info@askrelay.io, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use that information to respond, discuss integrations or partnerships, and maintain relevant business correspondence. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information.

Planned commerce integrations

When commerce integrations become available, Relay is designed to receive only the information needed for a product request. This may include search terms, product attributes, budget, condition, availability requirements and a delivery region. A normal product search is not intended to require a name, email address, exact street address, complete conversation history or assistant memory.

Future integrations may also process product results, comparisons, selected merchant links and limited referral or transaction-attribution information supplied by commerce partners. The applicable disclosures and integration documentation will describe the information used when those features launch.

Commerce-source information

Relay may obtain product, pricing, availability, merchant, seller, offer, inventory, historical pricing, cart, checkout, and other commerce information from third-party retailers, marketplaces, commerce platforms, affiliate networks, and product-data providers.

Different commerce sources provide different information and may update that information at different intervals.

Relay may combine information from multiple sources to operate product discovery, comparison, offer resolution, and purchase handoff.

Purchase handoffs and checkout events

When a user selects a product or offer, Relay may record that the product was prepared or handed off for purchase.

A purchase-handoff record may include information such as:

  • Product
  • Product variant
  • Merchant
  • Expected price
  • Currency
  • Quantity
  • Offer
  • Timestamp
  • Commerce source
  • Referral or attribution information
  • Cart or checkout identifiers where applicable
  • Transaction outcome where available

Relay does not require or intentionally collect payment-card credentials or merchant-account passwords merely to prepare a purchase handoff.

An AI assistant or third-party commerce platform may independently process information required to complete checkout under its own terms and privacy practices.

Attribution information

Relay may create, receive, transmit, or store identifiers used to measure commerce referrals and transactions.

These may include affiliate identifiers, click identifiers, campaign identifiers, referral information, or other commerce-attribution metadata.

Relay uses this information to:

  • Preserve referral attribution
  • Measure commerce activity
  • Reconcile commissions
  • Detect fraud
  • Understand conversion
  • Improve Relay
  • Create aggregated commerce analytics

Commerce intent and aggregated information

Relay may use aggregated and de-identified commerce signals to improve product discovery and develop market-level intelligence about demand, preferences, alternatives and unmet demand. These are plans for the commerce service, not a statement that this informational website collects shopping requests.

Relay does not sell identifiable user-level intent profiles. De-identification and aggregation are intended to prevent market-level insights from identifying an individual.

How information is shared

We may use service providers for website hosting, security, email and business operations. They receive information needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information where necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to a lawful request, protect rights or security, or handle a business transfer with appropriate protections.

If you follow a third-party link, the destination’s privacy policy and practices apply. When commerce integrations launch, relevant request information may be sent to participating sources to fulfill the request, as described in the applicable disclosures.

Retention and security

We retain correspondence and operational information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including responding to inquiries, maintaining business records, security and applicable legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and the context in which it was collected.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No internet service or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

You can choose what information to include in an email and can ask us to stop sending nonessential communications. Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses. Some requests may be subject to exceptions or identity verification.

Send privacy requests to info@askrelay.io. We will respond as required by applicable law. Where applicable, you may also raise a concern with your local data protection authority.

International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, appropriate safeguards must be used.

Children

This website is intended for a general business and developer audience. Relay does not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can address it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Relay’s services and practices develop. The current version and effective date will be available on this page. Material changes will be communicated where required.
